You couldn’t miss Dyson at Hair Expo 2019, as their stand of bold, must-see innovations was right by the entrance, introducing hairdressers to their incomparable tools, and giving attendees the chance to get to know their legendary ambassadors.
At the stand, Dyson experts showed the crowd the continued brilliance of the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer Professional edition, as well as the versatility of the ground-breaking new styling tool the Dyson Airwrap™ styler. In the education rooms, American celebrity hairstylist and Dyson Global Ambassador, known to her millions of followers as the hairdresser of the Kardashians, Jen Atkin, educated on behalf of the international brand to bring incomparable international expertise to the expo.
During her Once In A Lifetime masterclass, Jen showed off three expertly styled looks with the Dyson Hair Care tools and praised the all-new Dyson Airwrap™ styler in particular as a game changer of modern style. Afterwards, attendees queued for a meet and greet and selfie with the famous hairdresser in a line that snaked through the education hallways.
At the expo, attendees could ask questions of the Dyson Styling Ambassador team, comprised of local and international icons including Jayne Wild, Joey Scandizzo, Frank Apostolopoulos, Renya Xydis and Peter Thomsen. INSTYLE captured their insights on film to share a rare glimpse into the collective minds of this powerful industry team.
These questions ranged from the personal (“what would you be doing if you weren’t a hairdresser?” and “what is your secret talent?”) to the important technical queries about the Dyson tools, and requested intel into managing hairdresser life from the perspective of extreme career success. The ambassadors shared their personal insights into work life balance (or lack thereof), spilled on the celebrity clients they use Dyson to cater to (hello, Nicole Kidman) and lauded the Dyson tools, in particular the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer Professional edition, as a salon must have.
It’s an honour and a rarity to find so many champions of hairdressing in the same room, let alone when they’re all educating for the same cause, and Dyson has combined them all to complete the true hairdressing A-team. The Dyson Professional Education Roadshow will continue on its national tour, heading to Melbourne on August 26 with huge names such as Damien Rinaldo, Joey Scandizzo, Peter Thomsen, Jayne Wild, Frank Apostolopoulos and Renya Xydis in attendance. It will then move to Sydney on November 11, for a show at Carriageworks that boasts these same impressive names.
