Two renowned talents have joined the dynamic ghd Creative Artist team, which boasts a diverse range of experts who work with, educate on, show off and build upon the luxury hair tools with creativity and innovation, truly highlighting their enormous potential. Welcome Sheree Knobel from Australia’s Bixie Colour, and Benjamin James from Ryder salon in Auckland NZ to the ghd family.
“We, as a brand, are so lucky to be represented with so many of Australia and New Zealand’s best experts in the industry,” said Grant Norton, ghd’s National Education Manager. “Our creative artists aren’t just trend-makers, they’re pioneers across salon, social, and education. We’re so excited to be working with them to inspire and educate hairdressers and consumers alike.”
Veterans of the team include industry stars Richard Kavanagh, Pauline McCabe, Uros Mikic, Mary Alamine, Brodie-Lee Tsiknaris and Marie Uva, while other 2020 additions, from earlier in the year, consisted of Jules Tognini, Monique McMahon, and Bronwyn Illingworth, making the team a veritable who’s who of education, editorial and salon talent.
“Bringing in some new faces this year, such as Jules, Monique, and Bronwyn has allowed us to have experts located all across ANZ, who we can collaborate with on creative projects and education initiatives,” Grant shared. “Adding Sheree and Benjamin just made sense to us. They are incredible names in the industry and are highly respected. They have amazing attitudes and will add another level to the team across Education and industry activations.”
The team delivers to the industry in terms of inspiration, growth and innovation for the hair community as a whole, while the artists gain from the dynamic partnerships as well, in the important platform and opportunities it brings, as well as the collaboration with other motivating artists.
“Being a Creative Artist with ghd is really magical,” Richard shared. “I get to be a part of an incredible team of creatives with opportunities to work all across the industry and knowing I’m supported by a company with the best tools, warms my heart.”
“I love to work alongside like-minded people that are pushing the boundaries. People that have done so much in the industry and also to be able to showcase my work on that level in ANZ as well as globally,” Marie added.
The new artists are already fuelled by the weight, honour and opportunity of the recent appointment, bringing their extreme editorial talents to the proverbial table.
“There’s a lot I love about the brand, but for me it comes down the people – working with a really efficient team and them putting their trust in me really means a lot; I’m really excited to create together,” Benjamin said.
“I’m very honoured to be a part of a brand I’ve admired for years,” Sheree added.
With this group together, there’s sure to be a lot of enticing reveals in the pipeline, with so much to learn, see and be enthused by from these hairdressing stars.
“As hairdressers, we have the unique power to transform women’s confidence and lives through the power of a good hair day, and we’re so thrilled to be working with such a stellar creative artist team to help us continue leading the industry in creative hair trends and our salon education offering,” Grant said.
Congratulations to Sheree and Benjamin!
