Elite Hair Education, the goal, as always, is to produce industry-ready stylists by providing a career pathway for your team and help you to grow your business through education Kylie Dwyer has been driving Elite Hair Education for over 18 years now and has built a reputation as one of the best education providers in Australia.

The innovative Scissor Licence cutting program was born out of changes made to apprenticeship system during that time. The changes meant that any Salon Owner who decided to start and apprentice needed to advance their education and have their apprentice on the floor cutting hair, and generating income as quickly as possible.

Over the past two years Covid has disrupted the education of nearly every apprentice in Australia, it’s time to review the skills of your apprentices and make sure they can confidently cut hair when you need them the most. Elite Hair Education has developed the Scissor Licence cutting program to advance apprentice education and have them cutting on the floor as quickly as possible. The aim is to create skilled, confident hairdressers.

Scissor Licence is a comprehensive Education plan with Clear structure and outcomes. The program consists of 7 days of hands-on cutting education, delivered in 3 separate workshops within a 12 month period.

The workshops include:

1: FOUNDATION CUTTING (2days)

2: BOOTCAMP CUTTING (3 days)

3: FINISHING SCHOOL CUTTING (2days)

Students also receive:

• 3 pair scissor kit from Excellent Edges or a $100 voucher towards a pair of scissors.

• Save over $250 off the price of individual workshops.

• Your stylist has a reserved place in each workshop, individual workshops often sell out.

• An APP and private Facebook group for Support and reference between workshops

• Payment Plans to assist you with your cash flow.

Investing in Scissor Licence will have your 1st 2nd or 3rd year apprentice on the floor, cutting hair confidently and building a clientele in the shortest possible time frame. Anyone can attend Scissor Licence, No experience is necessary to commence, The earlier you start, the fewer bad habits, the better the outcome.

It isn’t necessary to align this program with college or TAFE, however the closer they are aligned, the better the student will perform. Scissor Licence & Ladies Short hair Fashion Trends will be held at eight locations in the New South Wales ACT and Queensland this year. Bootcamp & Ladies Short Hair will also be held in Launceston & Hobart in Tasmania, with approximately 15 students in each program. To strengthen the cutting skills of your whole team Kylie has made allowance for 20 in-Salon private education workshops this year.
