Schwarzkopf Professional Ambassador and Wieselmann Salon owner, Dee Parker created show-stopping finger waves for the recent wedding of Ella May Ding.
With a 1920s Great Gatsby theme, Dee Parker took to celebrity influencer, Domenica Calarco’s hair with a full transformation in-mind by wholeheartedly embracing the Gatsby theme with party-ready striking results. Transforming Domenica’s television famous bob to a pixie cut was the first part of the process.
“I recently cut off Domenica’s hair from her infamous ‘Dom Bob’ to a strong pixie cut for the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave fundraiser. She contacted me about this party and I knew straight away I wanted to create a hairstyle with finger waves, ridges and pin curls.
It works well because she has natural wavy textured hair, so the waves just bounced into shape,” said Dee.
For a somewhat surprise wedding, the looks were show-stopping, shared by various other MAFs and television personalities, Dee kept Ella’s hair look under wraps until the big day.
The multi-awarded hairdresser and 2022 AHIA Creative Hairdresser of the Year continues to work alongside various community-minded organisations including her role as Hair ambassador for the Leukaemia Foundation.

How to:
– Apply Schwarzkopf Silhouette black mousse, and diffused the hair to encourage the curls.
– Apply section by section, and use Schwarzkopf Professional Osis Rock Hard gel and push waves into a fingerwave shape. Setting with silhouette Black hairspray. Repeated this whole process for entire head.
– Finished edges with tail comb and create pin curls.
– Set finished look with fingerwave chips to emphasise ridges.
– To finish, coat hair with Osis Sparkler shine spray to make shiny.
