With the Australian Hair Industry Awards (AHIAs) for 2019 rapidly approaching on April 28, the finalists in a wealth of categories have been named. The business-focused awards honour salons in terms of their team, marketing, customer care and more, while also rewarding specialised hair skills, state winners, product excellence and education.
2019 sees the introduction of four new categories, ranging from Independent Educator of the Year, Best Business Performance of the Year for a non-salon company, Best Barber of the Year and Best Eco Salon, while Salon Design has been split into two investment-based categories. The AHIA Care, Treat and Style product awards also loom as a new feature. Additional major awards include the Hall of Fame, the Vidal Sassoon Humanitarian Award and a Special Recognition Award.
The awards will also recognise the new Hot Shots team, as led by brand-new Creative Director and hair legend Jayne Wild, and emerging hairdressers have been named as nominees for this outstanding opportunity as well. All winners on the evening will take home a custom made crystal trophy, while also receiving editorial coverage and national PR exposure.
The awards will be held at the Star Event Centre, Broadbeach, Gold Coast, capping off the long-awaited Hair Biz Forum and bringing entertainment and revelry to a full night dedicated as a hairdressing extravaganza.
Congratulations to the finalists!
