Australian and New Zealand talent has been honoured in the UK’s Colour World Genius Awards, with three finalists from our side of the pond nominated as finalists in the International Colour Genius category.
Congratulations to the esteemed Danny Pato of D&M Hair Design in New Zealand, and Australia’s Stevie English of Stevie English Hair and Kristie Kesic of Cobelle Creative. The trio were nominated alongside other visionaries including Mark van Westerop from the Netherlands, Kasper Thomas from Spain and Matteo Susini from Italy.
“Thank you Colour World UK for picking me as a finalist for International Colour Genius! It’s an honour to be up alongside such a talented bunch of finalists,” Danny said on social media.
“It’s always an honour being a finalist in the international Colour World Genius Awards,” Kristie shared. “Thank you for the recognition, and it’s always so fabulous being amongst the best especially in Stevie English and Danny Pato.”
The Colour World Genius Awards are dedicated to impartial judging as the only independent awards event honouring colourists in the UK beyond brand. With a diverse jury of leading colourists, comprising over 40 judges, the CWGAs strive to create a level playing field for all participants.
Winners will be announced during Colour World Weekend on Sunday, May 19, in an event that partners with Joico, Olaplex, KEVIN.MURPHY and L’Oréal Professionnel and promises to be a celebration of all things colour. Over 30 colourists will showcase bold presentations that show that latest colour trends and techniques.
