We’re looking across the pond and to the stars for some hair inspiration as celebrities dressed up for the 2022 British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards and took to the red carpet. Then awards ceremony was one of several in recent days, putting celebrity hair, style, makeup and fashion firmly back onto news feeds and front pages everywhere.
With some big names in attendance, a variety of hair trends seemed to emerge – short hair and transformation cuts showed that celebrities love change just as much as your clients, and some old school glamour was supported by classic blondes and timeless styling. Here are a handful of celebrities that stood out and led the way.
Emma Watson
Emma Watson showing up to a British awards night is like hosting actual royalty. A focus on bobby pins kept hair tucked away and the look a little edgy.
Florence Pugh
Florence Pugh has been rocking the chop since October but turned it up a level for the BAFTAs. The slicked back hair style, deep brunette tone, close crop and jewels along the parting ensured the look made headlines for its trendiness and detail.
Lady Gaga
The epitome of old school elegance that trended all night at any hair length, Lady Gaga’s platinum blonde defined waves were a timeless take on awards style.
Rachel Zegler
West Side Story star Rachel Zegler chopped her hair into a bob less than a month ago, going from straight laced Maria to 2022’s answer to Snow White, who she will play in an upcoming Disney film. The bob proved red carpet-perfect as well.
Daisy Ridley
Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley was recently spotted out with this dramatic hair transformation and her pixie cut was absolutely trending at the awards event.
