MBFWA: Redken X Roopa

It was a vision of colour when looking at Roopa’s Resort 19 collection, and Redken were there to style the complementary hair look back stage at MBFWA. Hair director John Pulitano of Headcase Hair worked closely with the brand to create a rich, textured look that would elevate the collection.

“I had lots of fun creating this shiny, rich, expensive look. I look forward to bringing this shine back on trend,” John said.

REDKEN Diamond Oil Glow Dry applied from mid to ends of hair adds shine and smoothness to the body of your hair. Spray REDKEN Fashion Work 12 Hairspray behind the ear to create an effortless finish. Finally, REDKEN Shine Flash 02 shapes the hair into a beautiful texture to create a luxurious and glistening overall look.”

Bright colours, especially bold pinks, reds and oranges, with vibrant, clashing prints, layers, frills and plenty of fabric walked the runway with luxe, shiny hair in many styles becoming the final necessary part of the aesthetic. A playful ringlet style was a hero, recurring look.
