Alfaparf Milano Australia had a once in a lifetime incentive for their top salons, treating them to a trip to Paris and Spain, where they experienced incredible sight-seeing and the incomparable Alfaparf International Show, titled Time After Time.
Arriving in Paris, guests were welcomed with a drink on the rooftop of Terrass Hotel where they were accommodated in the charming Montmartre situated on a large hill in Paris’s 18th arrondissement. Sightseeing adventures included trips to world famous monuments, including the famous Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triomphe, Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame, Champs Elysees, The Louvre, Palace of Versailles, Place de la Concorde and more. They took part in authentic experiences, such as a French dinner cruise on the Seine River over sunset, with French music setting the perfect scene, and a view of the Eiffel tower the ideal final cruising destination. Magnifique!
After this exceptional Parisian trip, the group flew to Valencia on the east coast of Spain to watch the Time After Time show at the City of Arts and Sciences. Guests were entertained in the interior or the Hemisferic, a large spectacular sphere construction designed with a spectacular roof over 100m long.
The show itself was a trip highlight, taking the audience on a journey through time to celebrate each decade of alluring hair looks, while pulling focus to important world events in the show. Genny D’Auria and Mimmo Laserra showcased 80s inspired looks, with characters, music, images and themes inspired by iconic musicians and film stars of the time. Paul Stafford used his hair skills to tell the audience a story of cult 90s characters, name Courtney Love and Lady Diana. Cuco y Guille e Eliabe Moreira looked over the 2000s with contemporary looks that veered into Mexican tradition. Ramiro Mata brought the show to the modern day, with complex and shiny silver looks that represented the trends of now.
From the past, to the present, to the future, the show ended with a look at what’s to come, paying homage to emerging global talents in the Alfaparf Milano family, in the international Next Color Genhairation competition. Laura Barriales, an important part of the Alfaparf Milano family brand, invited Global General Director Marco Bruco on stage, as well as introducing the competition judges. Alfaparf Group president Attilio Brambilla, Technical Director for Alfaparf Milano Ruben Ugarte and Estetica Magazine Director Roberto Pissimiglia picked the winners amidst difficult competition.
Daria Elida Ardelean (Romania) took out first prize with a delicate peach and pink look, that showed off its multi-dimensional capabilities with varied styling. Lorenzo Marchelle (Italy) came second with a multifaceted silver ice look, while third place went to Nicole Nogueira (Brazil) who created a bright vermillion red.
The hair fashion show was followed by an unforgettable gala dinner, which wowed 1300 salon guests along the 100 metre set up overlooking the water, and continued the evening in fittingly unforgettable fashion. A DJ-supported after party then ensured the event went until morning, an appropriate answer to a night you’d rather never ends.
Aussie salons were enthralled by culture, luxury and hair inspiration and education on their trip abroad, soaking in everything Spain and Paris had to offer to them as hairdressers and world travellers. We wouldn’t expect anything less from Alfaparf Milano.
