Five finalists have been announced in the International Category at Sebastian Professional’s What’s Next Awards – and an Australian hairdresser has made the list! Congratulations to Brisbane based stylist Brodie-Lee Stubbins of Rokstar Salon.
The major achievement comes after the category received 200 entries globally, and Brodie’s brooding black and white entry, with braided, textured hair, clearly caught the judges’ eyes. She will be competing against Rosallie Asmar from Sweden, Harri Iekberberg from Finland, Yohann Jouvanceau from France and Danny Van Tuijl from Austria.
The awards will take place at the Sebastian Professional LA is B(L)ACK event on February 25, and Brodie will compete live at the international event in California. You can cheer her on and show some true national pride by watching along with the live stream, hosted at sebastianwna.com.
The winner of the category will become one of Sebastian’s Who’s Next Artists, and will have the extraordinary opportunity to shoot a full collection under the tutelage of hairdressing legend and Sebastian Professional Creative Vision, Robert Lobetta.
It’s a major prize up for grabs and to even be in contention is a massive achievement. Well done once again to Brodie-Lee, who is sure to bring her trademark artistry and technical skill to the stage in LA, and show the audience just what the Australian hair community is capable of. We’ll be cheering her on from behind the live stream screen.
