Australian foil company Foil Me is taking the world by storm, expanding into Canada with new distribution by West Coast Beauty (WCB). The Vancouver-based, family-owned beauty supply company has been catering to Canadian hairdressers for 25 years, making them the ideal partners for Foil Me as they go truly global.
“We love the way West Coast Beauty support hairdressers and the brands that they supply,” said Foil Me founder and creative director Emily Ciardello. “They align with our brand beautifully in their core values and their social media reflects luxury and innovation. It is really important to us that we can work closely with our distributors, supporting each other frequently, especially via social media, and West Coast Beauty certainly do this.”
“Owner Ro Lal spoke over the phone with me – I was instantly impressed that he did this. This and the fact that Tressa (our Canadian ambassador) highly recommended WCB made it an easy decision to partner with them to expand the reach of Foil Me,” she continued. “We pride ourselves as a great brand with integrity, innovation, and originality and always seek business partners who share these same philosophies.”
WCB is very education driven, offering an array of classes and seminars to empower clients to use the products at maximum efficiency. The company prides themselves on their industry relationships, high-end products, top-tier service and commitment to growth.
“West Coast Beauty is honoured to announce that we are the key distributor in Canada of the Foil Me brand,” said WCB cowner and co-founder Ro Lal. “It is important to our company that we partner with brands that are innovative, effective and exceptional in their vision for the beauty industry. West Coast Beauty believes the Foil Me brand encompasses these qualities making them a sought after choice for foils by Canadian salons.”
Corresponding with this expansion, Foil Me are announcing Tress Yanchuk as their Canadian ambassador. Tressa is renowned as a blonde, balayage and ombre expert, and counts on the Foil Me ‘wides’ in saving her time at the chair, claiming that she uses them for 90 per cent of her clients in order to accomplish more in less time.
“I originally started working with Foil Me a couple years ago, after seeing a stylist on Instagram with super wide foils,” Tressa said. “I’d been on the hunt to find something similar with no luck. I had posted a video to show how I started ripping my own foils to create larger sizes than the standard boxes, which is so time consuming and painful!, when Emily responded to the video. She sent me a trial pack and I was immediately hooked!”
“The Foil Me team has been so personable and I love the story of the company and how it started! I love to support smaller businesses and help companies grow if I can. Especially when their product is amazing,” she continued.
Tressa lauds the foils for their quality grip and dually fine and tough texture. Their signature embossing and clever tissue box and shoe box design, which makes the foiling process as easy as possible in salon, are also major ticks.
“As a small, yet rapidly expanding business that is impacting the hairdressing industry both here and abroad, it’s an honour to have someone of Tressa’s calibre, skill and talent representing Foil Me in Canada,” Emily said. “We look to collaborate and partner with individuals and companies that truly support the Foil Me brand and ethos, and assist in our growth locally and globally. The WCB team are professional, friendly and operate a highly regarded business in Canada.”
