Aveda Announce 2018 Colour Harmony Finalists

Aveda have announced the names and images in contention for their prestigious annual Colour Harmony awards, naming 18 national finalists who created inspiring editorial images true to the brand. Entrants were tasked with mastering the theme ‘Know What You’re Made Of’ in the brand’s historic 40th year. The competition has also partnered with INSTYLE in our joined commitment to the development of, artistry within and support for the industry at large.

As well as the three finalists in the salon category (Djurra Lifestyle Salon and Spa, Element Aveda Lifestyle and Salon Yazbek), 15 hairdressers were announced as finalists in categories of the pinnacle Colour Harmony, Editorial, New Talent, Men’s and Digital. A host of prizes are on offer, including an international trip for the Colour Harmony winner, exposure, features in INSTYLE, tools and product packs.

“Winning the Colour Harmony category as well as Salon Collection Category has had a huge impact on my hairdressing career as well as the popularity of the salon,” said Tracy Doak of De Stijl, who won these awards in 2017. “Salon guests as well as new guests at De Stijl have been interested in knowing about Colour Harmony and have been impressed with the work the salon produced for the awards. It has boosted the salon brand and given us a higher level of exposure nationally.”

The winners of each category will be announced at an event in Melbourne on August 6.
