It’s officially pink month AKA breast cancer awareness month, also known as October, and a myriad of hair and beauty brands are doing their part to help with the cause. Aveda and their ever philanthropic spirit are part of the mission, announcing a Limited-Edition Hand Relief™ Moisturizing Creme featuring calming Shampure™ aroma and donating $10 from every purchase price, up to USD$7900, to support cruelty-free research through the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The brand’s goal is to raise $350,000 globally in support of cruelty-free breast cancer research through the sale of limited-edition products like this and other fundraising efforts. With these methods, Aveda have raised over $6.3 million so far since 2001. Their donations have focused on research pertaining to environmental and lifestyle factors that possibly affect the risk of breast cancer.

It is built with andiroba oil and other plant hydrators to infuse hands with hydration. It importantly features the brand’s signature shampure™ calming aroma with 25 pure flower and plant essences.
Helping the planet even more in their beauty endeavours, the product is packaged in a 59 per cent post-consumer HDPE tube with up to 41 per cent bioplastic. Like all Aveda products it’s manufactured using 100 per cent solar and wind power.
