A trio of hair industry experts have just unveiled a new podcast, cleverly titled Cutting Through The Noise. Dropping in feeds as of October, this podcast is co-hosted by hair industry veterans Stephanie Mason, CEO of Showpony Hair Extensions, Nadine Johns-Alcock, owner and director of Dorothy Jean Salon in Brisbane and the global education manager for Showpony, and Hayley Mears, the owner and founder of leading industry marketing agency Six Underground Media.
The podcast will see the hosts share their extensive knowledge and industry expertise on the hairdressing market, offering strategies, approaches and insights into adapting, pivoting and reinventing their business models and mindsets in an ever-changing market. The hosts will provide three unique career perspectives that deliver insights into salon ownership, business-to-business knowledge, marketing and digital content.
Listeners can expect to hear a wealth of local and international talent, with upcoming episodes set to feature guests such as millennial entrepreneur Gretta van Riel, British Fellowship CEO Barry Stephens, Pauline McCabe from Rock Paper Scissors, hairdressing influencer Natalie Anne and CEO of the Australian Hairdressing Council Sandy Chong.
The podcast will explore such topics as the impact of current supply chain issues, the latest e-commerce trends and their introduction into the beauty market, and the changing shape of salon culture and workplace flexibility, with no salon-relevant focus off limits.
