Elevate your colour skills, while being entertained and inspired by the Danger Jones dream team of international and national hair talents. In a session at Hair Festival in Sydney on Sunday June 30, aptly titled the Danger Jones show, the new, dynamic brand, hailing from Los Angeles, will showcase some of their best American and Austtralian artists to change the way you think about colour.
You will gain insights into creative colouring, blonding and toning, as well as hair cutting, and styling, in takeaways you can use directly behind the chair. The session is ideal for hairdressers and salon owners looking to feel motivated and inspired in their colour work.
The session will be led by brand co-founder Alexis Thurston, who is pioneering this vibrant, dynamic colour brand, which is already distributed in 23 countries.. Alexis is a global educator and the co-owner of Butterfly Loft Salon, where all Danger Jones products are created and tested, giving her the impressive title of stylist, salon owner, educator, product creator, entrepreneur and beauty industry disrupter.
Joining her will be US educators Mary Ott, from Pennsylvania, and Jessica Powers from Utah. Mary has over 19 years of industry experience, and is renowned as a salon owner and hairdresser for her comprehensive skills in creative colour, dimensional balayage, and universal blending, which make her an invaluable asset as a global educator and platform artist for Danger Jones. Jessica is known for her vivid colour work, blonding and balayage work, her finishing and styling, as well as for her photography skills and as a social media star. She is a hairdresser, salon owner and two-time winner for the BTC Creative Color One Shot Awards, as well as a global educator and platform artist for Danger Jones.
The stage will also welcome Australian talent. Brisbane salon owner Holly Sharpe has shown off her knowledge and creative colouring skills on stage internationally and nationally for a wealth of global brands. With internationally published collections, and in her role as a global educator and platform artist with Danger Jones, Holly inspires both globally and closer to home. Kate MacFarlane from Central Queensland is a salon owner and expert stylist with 21 years of experience, with transformative colour and blondes as her particular passions and expertise. Kate is well known for her balayages, lived-in blondes, and light transformations, both in the salon and as a global educator and platform artist with Danger Jones. Lexie Shay has been in the industry for 20 years, as a global educator and advocate known for her alternative colouring, cutting and styling work, Lexie has been recognised at award events, been featured in various beauty publications and owns a salon in Cairns.
