With the combined team of Dannii Minogue and L’Oréal Professionnel, you can expect a lot of headline-making and internet-breaking hair looks, if the last year of their partnership is anything to go by. Following on from her turn to blonde and then pink in 2017, the pop star announced her continued collaboration with the brand as their Ambassador and, in characteristic turn, it came with an all-new hair look.
Dannii has been named as the face of the new L’Oréal Professionnel campaign, ‘No Damage Colour by INOA’, and she has transformed her hair with a new metallic look to celebrate. Debuted at the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy Awards hosted in Melbourne, the smoky, shimmering look was the work of Peter Thomsen of Chelsea Hairdressing, assisted by Danny Puopolo of Rakis On Collins.
The innovative colour work perfectly illustrates the power of INOA, which provides new levels of care for the scalp and hair fibre, offering hairdressers and consumers the opportunity to truly test the full colour spectrum, without worrying about damage.
“I adore working with the team at L’Oréal Professionnel and have had so much fun playing with my hair over the past 12 months. From my dramatic brunette to blonde transformation in January last year, to my pastel pink locks and now my incredible metallic look, I’ve loved every minute of the journey,” Dannii enthused. “More importantly, using INOA which is ammonia-free to create a truly No-Damage Colour*, means these transformations actually improve the quality of my hair! So, watch this space… you might be seeing a few more changes in the coming months!”
Dannii appeared on the red carpet and on stage to debut her new metallic look and announce the ultimate winner of Colour Trophy 2018. Her colour change was also popular on Instagram, both through the L’Oréal Professionnel channel, which she took over for the day, and to her own hundreds of thousands of followers.
“We are so pleased to be continuing our partnership with such an incredible beauty like Dannii Minogue and have her attend this year’s L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards,” said Olga Zanetti, L’Oréal Professionnel General Manager. “The L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards showcase some of the brightest hairdressing talent from across the country, continuing to inspire hairdressers to celebrate hair influenced by fashion. Minogue’s fashion forward thinking and outstanding career achievements make her the perfect muse to announce this year’s winner.”
Mark it down, for your clients that have already been blonde, and pink, and everything else, metallic is the salon’s new wearable hair colour trend to start 2018.
