Luxury French fragrance house Creed has opened their first Australian flagship boutique in Sydney’s Double Bay, offering their iconic fragrances as well as products exclusive to Australia, from unique new scents to bath and body items.
The space boasts an inspiring luxe aesthetic, reflecting the spirit of the brand with a modern, refined look, as crafted by Can Onaner, who is the architect for Creed boutiques worldwide. The design is based on an aesthetic by Viennese architect Adolf Loos.
The look is anchored by dark marble hues, warm timber tones, wall to ceiling mirrors and gold accents to host the display of fragrances, in an overall sleek and sophisticated style. The fragrance brand was founded in 1760 and has been beloved through centuries, notably by Queen Victoria. That decadent, royal lineage is now on display in Double Bay.
Founded by James Henry Creed, the brand’s long familial line of master perfumers, with knowledge passed on from one generation to the next, have created a catalogue of more than 200 fragrances and have birthed a cult following. Where royals wore the brand centuries ago, modern royalty, AKA celebrities, such as Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Paul Newman, Princess Diana and Elizabeth Taylor, as well as Brad Pitt, George Cloony and Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, have been fans of the brand through the 20th century and today.
Now a longstanding and global dynasty, currently led by father and son team Olivier and Erwin Creed, who represent the 6th and 7th generations running the brand In this family line, Creed offers over 250 years of luxury fragrance expertise. With a reputation like no other, perfumery techniques created over centuries of operation, high-quality ingredients and a penchant for luxury few others can imitate, Creed is an icon in the beauty and fragrance sphere.
