The L’Oréal Professionnel Style & Colour Trophy finalists will be named at an unmissable gala event on August 6. The gala dinner will be hosted at The Star, Sydney, in a black tie function that includes a red carpet entrance, three course dinner and afterparty, and final tickets are still available.
The event will announce the national finalists for Style & Colour Trophy across Australia and New Zealand, as well as the winners of the all-new iNOA and Newcomer Awards, and the marie claire State People’s Choice Awards. From there, the final eight round will take place on August 19 and 20, with the grand finale deciding the ultimate winner in the new combined Australian and New Zealand hub to be held on August 21.
Judges for the ultimate title include last year’s global winner Claudia Cataldo and bronze medallist Kelly Manu, as well as leading hairdressers Damien Rinaldo, Daren Borthwick, Adriana Marmino, Sarah Laidlaw and Matt Clements, as well as Sally Hunwick of marie claire. Judges in the new Newcomer and iNOA categories include Amy Connolly of Indah Salon in New Zealand, Karlie Roberts of LNDN Hair and Maria and Joe Cotroneo of Zink the Element of Hair.
The semi-final gala event will also included an international performer, as well as inspiring hair shows thanks to the Style & Colour Trophy judges and L’Oréal Professionnel artistic team. Prepare for an evening dedicated to peak hair artistry, celebration and community, with delegates from outside of the brand also attending. Keep an eye out for a live link, which will ensure those who can’t attend will still have a virtual front row seat to the festivities.
Australia’s national representatives are coming off a hattrick in the global competition, with our own Wendy Gunn, Massimo Tirimacco and Claudia Cataldo securing the last three pinnacle international awards. As we start the process to finding out our next national champion, the stakes are supremely high in the 2023 iteration of this historic platform.
