Discover education operation Polished Style Education, as created by Melbourne hairdresser Justine Wolfe. The online and in-person styling education offers premier techniques and tricks in modern, textured styling, and a recent masterclass, with more to come, is the latest highlight for this burgeoning education movement.
Justine has been a hairdresser for 23 years and a qualified educator for 13 years, while this education initiative was born within the last few years, when a change of lifestyle and schedule after having her second child, along with a real desire to make a difference in the industry and diversify her career, led to what would become Polished Style Education.
In this time, Justine updated her training qualifications and began working as an assessor and up-styling educator. It was in witnessing this education and training up close in these vocations that she realised the need for modern, relevant up styling training, and created in-person and online education for Polished Style Education to cater to this need, building from her Polished Style business of wedding hair services and strong social media following.
Online Justine offers courses in short hair, business, styling and the platform’s signature program, under the title Polished Skills, while in-person education extends her styling expertise to marketing and content creation, as well. Amongst her education focuses is her hero expertise in textured styling, with Justine’s unique and proven ‘5 Steps To Textured Styling’ technique becoming a major drawcard.
“This is a formula I swear by for each and every style I create,” Justine said. “These five steps are designed to give hairstylists a process to follow that results in confidence and ease which each and every style they create. This process goes in depth with product and tool selection, hair preparation, teasing, setting up the style, securing the hair and the finalising step.”
With these significant insights at the centre, Justine hosted a masterclass in Melbourne in November, with tickets that sold out to almost double the original capacity. The event showcased Justine’s approach to delivering value packed, fun filled, and ‘lightbulb moment’ led education sessions. The event included signature cocktails with personalised tags, catering and a violinist on arrival, as well as brand sponsors with gift bags, access to exclusive deals and opportunities for prizes to be won. The dynamic atmosphere allowed for an engaging and collaborative session.
The five-step process was shown in three live looks with professional make up, models, photography videography and florals setting the scene.
“This particular class was about taking the guesswork out of modern textured styling and simplifying the hairstyling process to give a modern textured style that is balanced, comfortable to wear and lasts all day and night,” Justine said. “The feedback from the session was so warm and kind with so many stylists feeling motivated in their styling and business, so much so that I plan to take this masterclass to various other states in Australia next year.”
