Event organisers BHA Media have confirmed the rescheduled inaugural Hair Festival will take place Sunday 26 and Monday 27 September 2021. The rescheduled event will take place at the original venue, Carriageworks, in Sydney. Organisers rescheduled the event in solidarity with the hair industry in Victoria as they entered their most recent lockdown.
“Moving the dates was the right thing to do,” said Event Director Bethanie Tobin. “It’s great news that we’ve secured the same venue to run the complete program we originally envisaged.”
Organisers confirmed that all components of the Hair Festival event, including Real Talk, MarketPlace, Hair Festival Wonderland, Festival Education Sessions, Hair Festival Competitions and The Australian Hairdressing Council’s (AHC) Schmoozefest, will all move to the new September dates. Ticket-holders and registrations will be automatically transferred to the new dates so no action is required.
“As we’ve continued to live with some ongoing uncertainty, it’s even more obvious just how much our entire industry is craving the opportunity of coming together,” said Cameron Pine, Editorial and Creative Director with INSTYLE and Styleicons. “With a revised date, we now have the ability to include an even greater portion of our industry with the greater levels of confidence that are already in effect. We can’t wait to have even more to share and inspire you with in September and we thank the industry for their support and positivity. We are doing our very best to make Hair Festival a leading annual event our entire industry can and will celebrate for many years to come.”
Hair Festival attendees and sponsors can sign up to the event newsletter and associated social channels to ensure they receive the latest news and updates for Hair Festival. While some sessions and events are now sold out, some tickets will be available for purchase again from Tuesday 15 June.
