Four hairdressers have won global publication of their latest collections as the celebrated winners of the latest Star Competition, as run by the Australian Hairdressing Council (AHC) Youthworx and Hair Shots 2 The World. Winning against a talented group of entries, congratulations to Apprentice category winners Tep Read of Papas and Pace, and Bridie Meehan of Joey Scandizzo Salon, as well as Qualified category winners Elle Schoemaker of Stelios Papas Toowong and Dion Lee Andrew of TONI&GUY Georges.
“All collections entered were worthy of publication. I have no doubt that any of them would be successful on the world media stage, winners made it through by the narrowest margins,” said competition organiser, Leanne Cutler of Hair Shots 2 The World. “Industry golden girl, Elle Schoemaker won for the third year in a row, with Dion Lee Andrew of TONI&GUY Georges drawing equal first with a stunning men’s collection.
“Editors worldwide will snap up these collections so it’s a great to see such a strong representation of young Australian hairdressing,” she continued. “A big thank you to AHC Youthworx for another opportunity to support new talent.”
“What an amazing opportunity from Leanne Cutler and Hair Shots 2 The World to have the work of these talented stylists published worldwide,” Sandy Chong, CEO of the Australian Hairdressing Council said.
More details about the 2020 competition will be available at the AHC Annual General Meeting in Melbourne later in the year.
Well done to the winners!
