The entry process in the Intercoiffure Australia G.O.A.T. 24 apprentice competition is officially underway, as the organisation invites all apprentices to throw their hat in the ring of this social media competition.
“All member and non-member apprentices are invited to video a ‘makeover transformation’ in the Open category which was a great success last year, so we are doing it again,” Intercoiffure’s National Artistic Director, Terrina Brown said. “This competition is designed to be a low-cost introduction into the creative competition world, where apprentices plan and carry out their transformation and then video it on their smart phone.”
Opening on Monday, March 18, the competition also has two specific member categories – First-year Styling and Second and Third-year Cut and Colour. The entry process requires an in-salon video between 30 seconds and a minute in length. Music, speeding up and editing are permitted but no other special effects or text is allowed.
Entries must be by posted directly to Instagram by Monday 29 April, at 11.59pm, using the hashtag of the relevant category and some other specified tags. The Open category must be hashtagged #Intercoiffureau_Open24.
Hairdressers across platforms and brand such as L’Oréal Professionnel Australia, Intercoiffure Guillaume Fondation Paris, Intercoiffure Mondial, Intercoiffure Oceania selected member and Australia and New Zealand Hairdressers of the Year will comprise the judging panel, while education prizes from L’Oréal Professionnel will be given in all categories.
Good luck and start your entries!
