Kao USA Acquires Oribe

Kao USA Inc. has added another renowned beauty brand to its already impressive stable, with luxury haircare brand Oribe now a part of the family. Other major haircare brands under the company include Goldwell and KMS, which aesthetically, technologically and culturally fill a different niche in the industry to Oribe, and the brands will now stand side by side under the Kao banner.

Rogue Beauty, which distributes the brand nationally along with hair and beauty labels such as R+Co and V76 by Vaughn, will continue to distribute Oribe in Australia, while Oribe itself will still be primarily based in New York.

“It has been a privilege to have been involved in the launch of the Oribe brand in both the US and Australia, and we are so excited about this next stage in Oribe’s journey,” said Jared Fisher, Managing Director of Rogue Beauty. “Rogue Beauty will continue to work hard to deliver excellence to our premium Oribe salon and retail partners.”

Oribe has had a fast rise since launching in Australia, with a luxury aesthetic and premier quality that has seen high-end salons recruit it for their retail contingent. The brand’s vast range of haircare and styling products are headlined by hero products such as their Gold Lust range and Dry Texturizing Spray, with perfumes and candles also available in the range. The brand has recently expanded into makeup and nail care as well.
