Kat Von D Host Beauty Media In Melbourne to Launch Brow Collection

Last week, Kat Von D did nothing in half measures, launching their all-new vegan brow collection to beauty media in Melbourne – and flying a large group of them on a private plane for the occasion. Journalists and bloggers had a long day of travel, Q and A’s and soirees with the brand’s talented Artistry Collective to celebrate the launch.

Welcome the Kat Von D Beauty 24-HR Super Brow Long-Wear Pomade, Brow Struck Dimension Powder, Signature Brow Precision Pencil and two new brow brushes to revolutionise brow beauty as we know it. The pomade boasts 16 shades, include seven neutral shades and seven bold colours, as well as a bleached and white product, acting as a hero range to achieve the brand’s famous sculpted brows, full brows, microblade effect brow and coloured brows.

Artwork of Kat herself with each distinct brow lined the walls of the event and after party, while Artistry Collective members Kelseyanna Fitzpatrick, Tara Buenrostro, Steffanie Strazzer and Leah Carmichael were special guests and answered questions on their inspiration, their history with the brand, their go-to products and more. The team were hand-picked by Kat (largely on Instagram, no less) due to their versatile skills and creativity, and now travel the world to deliver beauty and education to the ever-growing Kat Von D cult. Their unique looks at the event itself were testament to their bold, different aesthetics.

Guests enjoyed the demonstration and panel discussion (complete with requisite brow touch-ups and transformations) at the George Ballroom, before a cocktail after party at Smith & Daughters, all with completely vegan canapes, delicious cocktails and a rose-draped photo GIF wall. Then it was back on the private jet with some beauty inspo and certifiably better – and brighter – brows making the trip home. No one does it quite like Kat Von D.
