MAC Cosmetics has unveiled a whole new beauty world with their fairytale dream-like collection, thanks to the upcoming Aladdin live action movie. This special edition range offers your Disney princess aesthetic fantasies with a modern twist, celebrating the beauty and strength of princess Jasmine within the rich products.

The collection covers playful bright hues, glitzy metallics and neutral mattes that would be right at home in Arabia, with aqua, gold, silver and fuchsia standing out as the ideal hues in lip, eye and cheek shades.

“Simply grounding eyes smoked out with Technakohl Liner in Graphblack and a mix of two colours from the Eye Shadow Times Nine palette is an easy way to wear these products with bright jewel tones,” said the brand’s Senior Artist John Stapleton. “Use Graphblack as your base along lash lines, then blend deep brown Eye Shadow in Abu! onto lids and into the creases of eyes. With a firm brush, apply soft gunmetal Eye Shadow in Princess Jasmine to the centre of the eyelids.”

The versatile shades suit any complexion, and the luxe packaging is inspired by the bold patterns and colours in the film  – particularly it’s exotic desert kingdom setting. Clever brand names (Diamond In The Rough, No Ordinary Lamp, Friend Like Me and Magic Carpet Ride, for example) recall the iconic moments, characters and musical numbers from the famous Disney classic. These must-have products extend to liners, blush, lipsticks and glasses, eye shadow and pigment.

“This collection couldn’t be more perfect,” said London-based MAC Cosmetics Senior Artist Dominic Skinner. “With flashes of frosts, pearls and metallics, simply complement these iridescent wonders against a flawless matte base like M·A·C Studio Fix Fluid to really make these shimmers sing. From fresh nudes and expensive golds to luxurious reds, there is something for everyone to be carried away with.”

The film is set to delight Disney fans upon its May release, with Will Smith as the genie as the headline casting, and one of the world’s most beloved films back on the big screen. Roll up to the premiere looking like 2019’s iteration of Princess Jasmine with the Aladdin collection.
