Paloma Garcia Hosts Immersion Day

After launching her own Sydney salon in 2018, fittingly named PALOMA, Paloma Garcia continued forging an admirable industry path with an Immersion Day this month. She inspired her team from an internal salon perspective and an external industry take as well.   

“I hired a gorgeous house in Bellevue Hill and we kicked off with Jamie Gonzalez who gave us a session on living a limitless life,” Paloma said. “We then moved into a PALOMA recap on the last 7 months since the salon launched and celebrated all our successes. Then Chris Hammond from Rouge Beauty took us through some more in depth history of Oribe the brand and what makes it so special, which is vital to our salon as well.”

“The second half of the day moved into luxury retail training, important general concepts such as emotion versus intelligence and learning more about what the consumer wants and expects from us,” she continued. “The afternoon was all about brainstorming as a team and coming up with creative and innovative ideas for the salon. We then finished off with dinner at Totties in Bondi. It was truly a great day and night!”

The salon focuses on Paloma’s own passion for wellness and creating the ultimate salon journey, delivering a client experience and salon with a fresh, bespoke feel. Paloma boasts 17 years of experience in the industry with a long list of celebrity clientele, while also acting as the Oribe editorial ambassador for Australia and having backstage credits at international Fashion Weeks to her name.

The salon caters to clients in a tailored and unique way, with an original and efficient dry bar for express services, while also helping the planet with 98 per cent recyclables and working with the Sustainable Salons network to collect, repurpose and redistribute resources such as packages, clipping and tools.

“I really wanted to create something different for my clients, and ensure that everyone who comes to my salon space is offered a truly personalised experience, from the moment they walk in the door to the moment they leave,” Paloma said at the time of the launch.

“I have gone above and beyond to carefully select a group of super talented and experienced hairstylists from around Australia that are renowned for their beautiful haircuts, styles and colour, and have also ensured that the products we use and stock are luxurious and pampering,” she said.
