Congratulations to the newly crowned winner in Paul Mitchell’s Color Outside The Lines competition, named as Rebecca Borzym from Cropped Hair & Beauty Victoria. Rebecca won from a collection of 600 Instagram entries, all judged by the brand’s national and international judging panel. Her entry won for a Demi Muted Metallics Rose Gold creation that hugely impressed the judges,
“Rebecca’s image was created using our new Paul Mitchell The Demi Muted Metallics demi-permanent colour series and was a striking representation of the diverse and on-trend colour results that The Demi can create,” said Paul Mitchell Managing Director John Pizzey. This spoke to the competition guidelines that asked entrants to celebrate current commercial Australian hair fashion trends, using only Paul Mitchell® Professional Hair Color & Paul Mitchell styling products. The wealth of interpretations that made up the entries showcase the colour range’s extreme versatility.
Rebecca will now travel to LA in early 2020 as part of her prize, which brings together winners from around the world of the global Color Outside The Lines competition. She will take part in a shoot led by the inimitable Robert Cromeans, where hairdressers from every continent will put forward their editorial work celebrating Paul Mitchell Professional Color.
“This collection shoots is the first of its kind for Paul Mitchell, bringing together the winning Paul Mitchell hairdressers from around the world to share in one vision of creating a globally appealing and on-trend photographic collection profiling the many creative applications of Paul Mitchell Professional Color. It is extremely exciting to have a talent like Rebecca involved in this project,” John said.
“Paul Mitchell is recognised as the world’s largest independently owned hair care brands, and are committed to a culture that celebrates, educates, supports and profiles hairdressers as artists,” he continued. “As a brand we are focused on being a global leader in professional hair colour, and are committed to keeping hair colour in the salon where it belongs – Color Outside the Lines is a competition that celebrates this effort, and the growing popularity of this competition, and number of salons choosing to support Paul Mitchell Professional Color here in Australia speaks to an industry that’s looking to support brands that remain loyal to our industry – true professionals.”
Alongside Rebecca, four other finalists were honoured for their great work as finalists. Congratulations to Rebekah Aumann, Kawsa Hair Studio, Rheana Cawley, Cameo Rose Hair Boutique, Jessica Clarke, Blow Out Hairdressing and Ashleigh Jende, Cropped Hair & Beauty for their accolades.
