The Salon Lane hairdressing community is celebrating two years since its flagship Surry Hills space debuted, hosting a community event to honour the milestone.
The community is comprised of over 80 independent professionals, who call the Salon Lane community home and enjoy the freedom and flexibility of freelancing, within the community forum that the business model provides. These members were invited to a special members brunch event to commemorate this important birthday.
“Revolutionising how the Australian hair and beauty industries work was always going to be a formidable task, however the added challenges of the past two years make this milestone extra special,” shared Jared Keen, Co-Founder & CEO of Salon Lane.
“The experience I’m having at Salon Lane is life changing! I am so glad I made the move and actually call it my home away,” added Salon Lane member, Sarah Wall.
The salon business also celebrated the milestone by hosting an Open Evening at their second site, Salon Lane St Leonards, which welcomed up to 2000 residents and workers in the St Leonards Square by Mirvac and The Landmark precincts to enjoy a complimentary service from Salon Lane members, as well as sparkling wine and canapés, goodie bags and beauty demonstrations. This allowed Salon Lane members to connect with prospective local clients, while consumers could experience the benefits of the one-stop-shop concept in hair, beauty and wellness.
“We built Salon Lane for independent beauty professionals to have flexible and affordable spaces to run their own business, but the benefits of this model for clients and the local community is really exciting,” Jared said. “We’re very proud of what we’ve achieved in our first two years and the members and businesses in our community who are thriving. We have a few exciting projects in the works and look forward to celebrating many more milestones in the near future.”
Salon Lane now looks to the future with a bold national roll out plan over the next few years that hopes to empower more hair and beauty entrepreneurs to establish, operate and grow successful and financially rewarding businesses in this space. Stay tuned.
