Attention – the Australian Hairdressing Council (AHC) needs you’re help, they’re lobbying the Government to help our industry when it comes to the difficult task of finding staff. In that endeavor, they need to collect at least 100 survey responses by Friday November 8 to support their lobbying to change the ineffective 482 visa and offer more qualified candidates to the industry. Fill out this short survey to help the cause.
AHC CEO Sandy Chong has been in meetings in Canberra with the Government talking about the crisis salons are facing in employing qualified hairdressers, and the extreme spending on advertising that entails, which often still emits little response from suitable candidates or no response at all. Sandy is lobbying for the Visa/Sponsorship terms to change for our industry and the Government wants to see evidence from salon owners that have attempted to find staff. As such, the AHC’s success in this endeavour requires your efforts.
What you can do is fill out the short survey by this Friday, and also share it online and via social media with your salon owner colleagues and communities, if they are also struggling to find qualified staff. The survey is for salon owners only.
Your voice is relevant and necessary, do your part to move our industry forward in the most essential way.
