JR Management is a different kind of modelling agency made for the hair industry. Currently being used by the brands across the industry – including INSTYLE – this agency sources and provides models that are open to hair colour and cutting when other agencies refuse. Chatting with Jr Management Director, Rebecca Townsing, we discover what makes this business stand out in our industry, discovers Ida Almasi.
What makes JR Management different from the rest?
At JR MGT we pride ourselves on our adaptability, perseverance and the pace at which we work. Everything we do revolves around not only meeting the needs of our clients, but assisting our talent as well. We consistently go above and beyond to make sure the brief is being met, ensuring that our clients deliver outstanding shows, photoshoots and other events. Whilst we respectfully acknowledge those agencies who are a pillar in our industry, we pride ourselves on being versatile and committed to each and every job in order to set ourselves apart from the rest. Our aim is to ensure that there is no brief, job, or request that can’t be met; if the request is there, we’ll keep working until we find a way to fulfil it.
What models do you represent?
We are an agency who has commercial and performing talent across Australia and New Zealand, however, we specialise in working in the hair industry by finding the right models to match an array of shows and photoshoots. Whether the ask is cuts, colours, shaves or styling we’re committed to scouting the right model for every look. We have an ever growing database of over 1000 hair models ready to go for any job.
Who have you worked with in the industry?
We’re humbled to work with an ever growing clientele base ranging from global brands, salon owners and creatives. Some of our most recent clients are L’Oréal Professionnel, Matrix, Redken, TONI&GUY, Oscar Oscar Salons, Wella Professionals, Hairhouse Warehouse, Shu Uemura, Schwarzkopf, Wahl, KEVIN.MURPHY, , INSTYLE and more.
Why did you create this agency?
Having worked in the industry from a very young age, I’ve always felt that this industry is the only industry in the world that truly lets you be whoever you want to be and accepts you for it. Personally, I believe that as an agency we have the ability to provide extraordinary opportunities for people. We love that we can help make a dream come true whether that’s by getting in front of a camera or walking along a runway; even if just for a fleeting moment. Since opening my doors in 2014, we’ve provided thousands of talent across Australia and New Zealand the opportunity to work with some global brands which is something we’re extremely proud of. We’re committed to continue to expand and create even more opportunities in the future.
