Well known Sydney PR agency Tailor Maid Communications, led by Sally Brown and Chrissy Biasotto has reached an 18 year milestone. From PR agency to multi-dimensional media agency off the back of more than two decades of a dynamic and personal partnership, TMC’s forever evolving influence on the beauty, fashion and lifestyle Public Relations continues to serve some of our industry’s biggest brands, writes Cameron Pine.
We caught up with Sally and Chrissy to discuss the world of PR in 2024;
Q. What have been some of your greatest achievements together since Tailor Maid’s inception?
Over the years a lot of our celebrity work has been very rewarding and we found it put a massive spotlight on the agency. Working with talent such as the Kardashians, the Jenner’s, Usain Bolt, Gigi Hadid, Alexa Chung, Kelly Cutrone and Whitney Port to name a few, have resulted in priceless memories and opportunities for both us and the TMCA team.
Q. What have been some of the key structural changes in recent years?
Back in 2019 our business was partially acquired by The Bashful Group, one of Sydney’s leading creative agencies responsible for some of the biggest campaigns in Australia. The investment has made us think bigger and smarter as an agency and we have learnt so much. It has been so humbling to watch our business grow from strength to strength over the last few years.
If we were to look at our top 18 highlights over the years it would look a little something like this:
- TMC being acquired by the Bashful Group in 2019.
2. Working with the Kardashians to launch their brands into the Australian market and managing their Australian tours across the years.
3. Working with Kendall and Kylie Jenner to launch their collaboration with Forever New.
4. Working with Whitney Port for her individual line ‘Whitney Eve’ and organising collaborations i.e. Whitney Port x Sportsgirl.
5. Launching JD Sports into Australia.
6. Working with Sportscraft for their 100th Birthday
7. Working with Usain Bolt x Puma
8. Working with Gigi Hadid x Guess
9. Working across the Olympic Uniform reveal with Sportscraft for 2021 and again this year for the 2024 Paris official uniforms continue to leverage our agency as a name in fashion across all levels.
Beauty has continually remained a key focus for the agency, with much-loved brand Charlotte Tilbury and hair brand ghd resulting in mutli-year partnerships for the agency. Some of the companies key beauty milstones continue to make an appearance throughout a number of fashion firsts and on-trend achievements.

11. Launching Selena Gomez’s makeup brand, Rare Beauty into Australia
12. Launching KStudio events at the KSUBI headquarters
13. Managing media interviews with Nicole Kidman to launch Vegamour into Australia
14. Managing the entire media and influencer strategy surrounding the Alexa Chung x Superga collaboration
15. Mariam Seddiq Fashion Week Show 2023
16. Working with Camilla and successfully getting the likes Oprah Winfrey and Beyonce wearing the brand.
17. Successfully winning the National Basketball League (NBL) as a client
18. Launching the Anthony Albanese cover on behalf of InStyle ahead of the election.
Q. What tips or advice do you have for being business partners for so long?
Communication is key as well as true admiration and respect for one another always. Both Chrissy and I have different strengths and talents and we make the perfect partnership because of that.
Q. How has the landscape and nature of your business and the PR landscape changed the most?
Everything going digital. Plus also moving our attention to influencers and away from our traditional media alone has been a focus and request from a lot of our clients. However ensuring that we still keep our traditional and print media at the forefront of our communication and included as an integral part of our business remains.
Q. What are you most excited about for the future?
There is so much to be excited about and we plan on expanding the business in several and new and different departments to broaden our expertise and offering. We both feel very inspired and motivated to grow our business to its full potential, there is so much more opportunity across media communications from traditional to future platforms.
Q. Where should people find out about what TMC is up to?
Across all our channels including Instagram and Linkedin, we regularly update what we do. However, we have a completely new website in the works so stay tuned for that, TMC is having a makeover!
