Last year, Urban Escape Hair showed their enormous success in the customer service realm, being given the 2018 Australian Achiever Award for Australia’s Hairdressing Services, adding to the same trophies on their mantle for the 2014 and 2015 iteration of the award. The salon, situated in Prahran Victoria, was awarded in a format based on assessment ratings from businesses’ own clients, a test Urban Escape Hair continues to pass with flying colours.
The award focuses on seven key criteria in customer service, including Time Related Service, Addressing Client Needs, Care and Attention, Value, Attitude, Communication and Overall Perception, for which Urban Escape Hair scored 99.36 per cent in the overall categories, which was the highest score.
“To us the superstar is the person in the chair and not the one behind it. We care for our guests and strive to provide them with a detailed service, which is delivered with genuine care, from the heart,” aid the salon’s founder Craig Withers about Urban Escape Hair’s secret to success.
“They have gone far beyond my expectations, and what I have been used to in the past,” a client enthused. “They listen and do whatever I ask, and I am always happy with the outcome. Individual requests are taken seriously and with such care. Their mirrors are large, and it is easy to see that everyone is absolutely delighted with what they are having done. It is the most cheerful place with a charming garden, lovely magazines, beautiful coffee, and water with mint and cucumber and a straw. They send me reminders via text for my appointments, their products are fantastic and they know them very well. Their level of expertise is second to none, and their business ethics are very sound.”
Other clients spoke of being made to feel special, the creativity of the team and the fact they can use the salon as a haven for some much needed time out. Clients also raved about the salon’s true care, the way they make customers feel welcome, their communication skills and their want to go above and beyond in their customer service.
