The global hair industry is mourning the loss of a significant figure, the World President of Intercoiffure Mondial, Klaus Peter Ochs, who passed away on Monday December 18, 2023, after a short illness.
Klaus Peter was elected as president of the organisation at the 2000 World Congress in Berlin, pioneering Intercoiffure Mondial forward ever since. Klaus Peter’s innovation, ideas and initiatives included the informative Intercoiffure Magazine, the creative global competition TrendBlast and the organisation’s Worldacademy. He was renowned for his creativity and professionalism.
“Being a leader among creative and successful entrepreneurs is not always an easy task, because it is almost impossible to please everyone. Klaus Peter mastered this challenge for many years with his innovative spirit, ideas and the strong support of his partners and companions,” shared Peter F. Pfister, who is now President of Intercoiffure Mondial as Klaus Peter’s successor. “His sudden death surprised and shocked us all and it is a pity that we were not able to honour and thank him for his long presidency at the 100 Years World Congress.”
