Among a field of talented competitors, the ultra-decorated Lyndal Salmon of BIBA took home the award for Victorian Hairdresser of the Year at the Hair Expo Awards 2019, adding another trophy to her mantle for the editorially inspiring Padma collection.
The collection is anchored by a muted white backdrop and textured white fashion to put the full emphasis on the creative hair choices, along with bare, bright makeup that puts subtle focus on smokey eyes and tinged lips.
With colour work by Colour Technician of the Year finalist Marilyn Guarino, the skillful duo created hero looks comprised of a blunt, strong bob in bright yellow, a peach pixie cut and a multi-toned, green-tinged longer hair look separated by extreme layering to mimic a shorter hair look in a unique take on the modern mullet. A dark hair long look utilises a similar concept to play with your perception of length. while wild curls in pink and a grey hair look with a bold approach to shape and height bridge the gap between trends and editorial savvy. Dyson Hair, Mizutani Scissors and Wella Professionals colour were instrumental in creating the looks.
We wouldn’t expected anything else from Lyndal and her talented team. See the full collection below for total inspiration.
