Innovating in the ever-expanding world of men’s editorial style, Luke Munn of Havachat Barbershop won the title of Men’s Hairdresser of the Year at the 2022 Australian Hair Fashion Awards. His eclectic winning collection, titled Blurred Lines, showcased the fun and artistry in men’s hair.
Dressed in vibrant pints and bold colours with mismatched pieces, contemporary influences and cultural details, the collection has a distinct editorial and fashion-forward edge.
Wild, sculpted braids, dual-tone hues, long hair and fringes, ever trending bowl cut-style short crops, flicks and ‘fros all permeate the collection. It’s a a versatile, punk rock aesthetic that would be at home on the streets and in the studios of London.
Luke created the collection with photographers David Mannah and Kurt Bingham, fashion styling by Josie McManus and makeup by Pablo Morgade and Michelle Daniela.
Once again proving that editorial inspiration is for the boys, well done to Luke for pioneering in men’s hair fashion.
