Industry titans teamed up on a collection that garnered a variety of nods at the Australian Hair Industry Awards (Creative) 2023. The collection, titled Augmented Inspiration, was the ideal example of team effort, with Stevie Corthine of Stevie English Hair winning Colour Expert of the Year and the colour title for the fourth time and Bernadette Beswick winning VIC Hairdresser of the Year back to back.
Beyond these winning accolades, Bernadette was also nominated for Master Cutter of the Year and the whole team was nominated for BTS Dream Team of the Year. Photographer Andrew O’Toole, makeup artist Chereine Waddell and stylist Jessica Jade received these accolades. For different collections, Georgie Bools of Stevie English Hair was nominated for Men’s Hair Specialist of the Year and the salon’s Leanne Kay was nominated for NSW Hairdresser of the Year, making it a big year for Stevie English Hair.
“It takes a whole village to make me look good and I have the best in the business around me,” Stevie joked.
The nominated and winning entires utilised different images from the shoot. Vivid, multi-faceted and fiery hues, bold, artful and Avant Garde fashion styling and unique layers and cuts define the collection, amassing its many honours. Congratulations to the whole team!
