Live music and its rule-breaking rock star aesthetic is front and centre with Michelle Griffin’s Backstage collection. The group of images is inspired by the timeline of musicians who have just performed on stage, capturing the attitude, freneticism and attitude of these moments.

Imagine being snapped by the paparazzi after selling out a stadium – that’s the essence of the Backstage collection. With a surprising and moody allure, the British hairdresser conveys the culture of the punk rock British music scene. Bold hair colours (blue, pink, orange and platinum blonde sit alongside more natural tones), short crops, undercuts, frayed edges and interesting layering showcase this rock star vibe. Black nails, chains, black fashion styling, leather-clad ensembles, heavy contouring and bold brows and eye makeup support this aesthetic even further.
