Multi-award winning hairdresser Danny Pato is back with his latest editorial offering, titled The Creatures and inspired by Persephone, Queen of the Underworld and of creeping, buzzing creatures. Persephone was the daughter of Zeus in Greek mythology, and her majesty and theatre is fully realised in the alluring collection.
The collection features black hair with contrasting textures, including feathers, foliage, diamonds and pearls. Other tenets include dreds that entwine with branches, finger-waves bend dimensions, water-waves turn into feather textures; and blunt cuts wisp into a halo of fly-aways.
The bold collection is the next entry in Danny’s esteemed portfolio, as created as part of the AIPP Grand Trophy 2019-2020, after becoming the first New Zealander to win an AIPP (Association Internationale Presse Professionnelle Coiffure) award. Danny has won the award for New Zealand Hairdresser of the Year at Hair Expo for four consecutive years and has received international and national awards, nominations and acclaim for his unique editorial work.
