Over the holidays, Hair Festival took on the role of Santa Claus, promising a must-have prize to one lucky follower to make the intro to 2021 that much sweeter. In a competition that garnered thousands of entries across Instagram and Facebook, entrants had to follow both Hair Festival and ghd accounts, like the post in question and tag two friends they would bring with them to Hair Festival. After weeks of liking, tagging and entering, the results are in.
Tammy Morris from NSW was crowned the lucky winner of the competition, taking home an iconic ghd platinum+ styler as her prize.
Hair Festival will continue to run competitions with epic prizes on their social media feeds, so make sure you’re following along. In the meantime, the long-awaited event – taking place over June 13 and 14 on the Queen’s Birthday long weekend at Sydney’s iconic Carriageworks space – is continuing to announce education sessions, COVID-Safe protocols and event details, providing even more reasons to follow along.
The event will offer patrons the chance to shop, learn, compete and connect, with a dynamic marketplace, bold and inspiring education sessions, skill-based competitions and networking events that will be worth the wait after so much time spent separated as a national industry. The event is presented with the Australian Hair Industry Awards (AHIAs, Creative), on June 14, becoming a one-stop shop for everything hair across a weekend that has always definitively belonged to the hair industry.
Registrations open from February, so keep following and counting down – and until then a new competition might come along to elevate your kit. Stay tuned.
