Welcome the latest from Christophe Robin, with an all-new Regenerating Serum With Prickly Pear Oil becoming the most recent member of the brand’s lauded regenerating line of products. The range, initially created in 2012, offers truly transformative results as drawn from nature and the new serum builds on that important notion.
“This is the luxe go-to for silky-smooth, high gloss, no weight and protected hair,” enthused Que Colour salon owner and educator Monique McMahon, who pioneers the brand in Australia. “Firstly, to have a heat protection and high gloss, and a hydrating product all-in-one is so satisfying. A cream and an oil as a hybrid, what’s not to love?”
The innovative range captures the powerful potential of Prickly Pear Oil as a hero ingredient, utilising this plant-sourced active ingredient to repair and regenerate both the hair fibre and scalp. The component has been long utilised in the Middle East as a protectant of skin, which could heal scars and fight signs of aging. As built into a unique formula with impressive concentration of fatty acids like omega-6s, omega-9s and vitamin E, this rich concoction stimulates the scalp, regenerates the roots of the hair and offers long-lasting protection.
The suite of products, comprised of a repairing shampoo, beloved mask and now the all-new serum, offers luxury textures and scented notes of Jasmine, Ylang Ylang and Calabrian bergamot leaves. The products ensure repaired, smooth, lustrous hair with shine.
The new silicone-free serum can be added as a daily ritual, building on the shampoo and mask for softness and shine, as composed of 94 per cent natural-origin ingredients. The prickly pear oil hero component is one of the richest plant sources for omegas and amino acids. It is merged with Tucuma butter, derived from a precious fruit harvested in the Amazon, for intense nourishing without weight. The mixture delivers antioxidant polyphenols that lock nutrition into the core of the hair fibre.
Other benefits include heat styling and environmental damage protection, a non-sticky texture and the iconic range fragrance for a true sensory experience.
“Clients will flip for the smell – the fragrance is so clean and fresh! Not to mention all the benefits the hair gets by using a product with natural ingredients. Also the hair drinks it, and it’s so easy to apply. Hairdressers will love it as it tames the thickest of hair, with no greasy finish or weight,” Monique said.
The natural sugar content in the ingredients mimics the cosmetic benefits of silicone, delivering shiny, flawless results with its use of intelligently derived and developed natural ingredients. The product is colour safe and free of parabens, silicones, oxidants, phthalates, mineral oils and ammonia, while also being vegan and not tested on animals.
On social media, clients are already loving the product’s effect on split ends and frizz, and its effective use in styling. In salon, Monique shares her own tips and techniques on how to best use the product.
“When using Christophe Robin’s new Serum, be sure to apply to towel dried hair and make sure you have combed your hair free of knots first,” Monique said. “Apply two to three pumps to your hands and rub together in your hands first. Using a patting motion, apply the Serum to the hair from shoulders down – really pushing the product into the hair using a patting motion, then pull though to the ends of the hair, again pushing/patting it into the cuticle. If needed, use another pump and apply from ears down using the same technique. Dry hair and apply small amount to the ends using a pushing technique to penetrate the cuticle.”
With an Australian shelf date of October, this new product is truly luxe and effective, building on an already beloved product line and becoming the hero product you’ve been craving.
