Electricals leader Dyson have announced the launch of their re-engineered MyDyson™ app, which offers the company’s technology expertise, care and maintenance tips and advice, as well as styling and cleaning content and information on purchase capabilities. Having launched towards the end of 2022, the app is created to support all Dyson owners and ensure a tailored experience for all their consumers.
Offering 24/7 support and content, the app has added more features and improved benefits across a range of Dyson technologies, now adding Hair Care and Floorcare machines to the user experience, with additional expert video content and more.
Importantly for hairdressing consumers, the app contains expert guides and content to maximise your power with the Dyson hair tools. Look out for specific style guides per tool, such as how to curl with the Dyson Corrale™ straightener and how to use the Dyson Airwrap™ multi-styler. The app also offers push notifications to tell users when sell-out items are back in stock to be purchased.
For all Dyson tool consumers the app offers onboarding and how-to guides with expert-led manuals and videos that deliver machine set-up, recommended uses and troubleshooting in step-by-step formats. It also offers personalised content to tailor your Dyson tool to your needs, while also connecting users to an owners community that accesses group help and advice, such as styling hacks, maintenance tips and general discussion. The app has a notification inbox, access to Dyson support and personal contact for help from experts and the latest news on upgrades and accessories.
The app coincides with the brand’s recently launched online hair diagnostic tool, which customises the Dyson Airwrap™ multi-styler’s bespoke attachments to individual hair types. These innovations are part of a larger £2.75bn five year investment plan for the company, with an overall objective of creating machines that use software and connectivity to self-improve. Half a billion pounds (that’s almost AUD$900 million) has been committed to hair and beauty innovation, in a four-year investment that will facilitate the opening of new hair research labs and the development of 20 new products in this space.
